Buena Vida Farm, west of Windsor, has launched an experimental program called Hispanic Women’s Farming Proyecto to give Hispanic women, some of whom are refugees, an opportunity to earn money for their families while learning about agriculture. The project is also intended to promote the understanding of Hispanic culture by introducing buyers to the Spanish words for our products.

In addition to heirloom pumpkins and green beans, we are growing salsa-making ingredients: green chiles (NuMex Big Jim and Pueblo Mirasol Mosca), onions, tomatoes (Cherokee Purple and Brandywine) and cilantro. Watch here for your opportunity to buy these healthy and tasty vegetables as they mature for harvest.

NOTE: We are currently away from market and will return in the Spring. We are a seasonal farm. In the meantime, feel free to visit our other farmers on this website, Colorado Fruit Co., EP Greens, Pondy Mountain Produce, Spring Hill Farm, Sunray Natural Farm, and others. Thank you for your support this season, we look forward to seeing everyone in the Spring.
